For years, our founder struggled with a severe skin condition. Pharmacy creams, big “clean beauty” claims, even dermatological treatments: the result was always irritation, pain and disappointment. It felt like the industry cared more about marketing than about skin.

Searching off the beaten path, we found an age-old skincare ingredient: grass-fed tallow. Rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, with fatty acids nearly identical to our own skin. The first tallow came straight from her aunt’s farm in the Netherlands, and a few homemade jars finally brought relief.

What began as a personal discovery felt much bigger. Christiaan and Davey recognised the frustration, saw the potential of tallow and joined Bodil to build something new.
That is how Cocovayé was born: skincare that is honest, fun and effective.

The kitchen turned into a small lab and notebooks filled with formulas. Family and friends became the first testers, every jar handmade and improved with honest feedback.
Slowly, a cream was created that worked not just for us, but for everyone who tried it.

Tallow was a skincare staple long before labs and long ingredient lists. Its fatty acids are nearly identical to those in our own skin, so it nourishes without the synthetic overload. We keep it simple: grass-fed Dutch tallow, a few natural oils, nothing else.
